Annie's lovable pluckiness has granted her the honor of being adapted into multiple movies. The first one was made in 1932, starring Mitzi Green as Annie. One of the head writers for it was Harold Gray himself! In this movie, Daddy Warbucks goes off on a long trip away from Annie. While wandering the streets alone one day, Sandy leads Annie to a boy Mickey, who is crying. Mickey's grandmother has died and he is going to be sent away to the orphanage. So, Annie takes Mickey home, but by morning he has decided to go to the orphanage. Annie takes Mickey to the orphanage, but instead of just dropping off Mickey, both Annie and Mickey are taken into the orphanages "care". Annie and Mickey have to deal with being in the orphanage together, until Mickey gets adopted. Annie, now alone in the orphanage has to work to get out of there, and to reunite with Daddy Warbucks.
